Aide to former president Goodluck Jonathan, continue his attack on the opposition presidential aspirants, and this time Bola Ahmed Tinubu of All Progressive Congress (APC) was at the receiving end, this is coming amid allegations of drug-related offense which was in circulation just a few weeks ago. He said Nigeria would be lower than Banana Republic if elected as president in 2023.

Reno who is a strong supporter of the People Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubaka, made it known through his tweeter handle, that even in the Banana Republic there are standards. He went further by saying Colombia never descend so low to elect former drug lord Pablo Escobar as their president and Nigeria would be a joke to the International Community.
In his tweet, he said, “Even in banana republics, there are standards. Colombia never descended so low as to elect Pablo Escobar. If Nigeria elects Bola Tinubu as President in 2023, then we would be lower than a banana republic. We would be the butt of jokes in the international community”
